Been on a trip to Europe for 19 days

OK, we've been away for 19 days.  You read me, that long and yes it's a long time.  We went to a  number of countries and that's good because my husband has never been anywhere until last year for 5 days in London, and 5 days in Edinburgh.  Now he loves London, so the trip started to grow.  Here's where we've been:

Five days in London with visits to Churchill's War room, (not touched in 20 years, left exactly like it was the day the war ended).

The Beattle's Abbey Street

St. Paul's Cathedral on a hike to the top (650 steps), and

Winsor (pictures were restricted because King Charles was coming that day.

And the Church were William married Kate, the Queen (Elizabeth) is buried and her husband as well (pictures are restricted here)

and the castle where Henry VIII was with Ann Bolean

King Henry VIII his church.

Where William Wallace was killed after the rebellion in Scotland.

Then we took off for Manchester to see the set of Coronation Street, Tim's favorite soap opera.  Look how happy my husband is...

Taxi anyone?
One of the stars in the show, you get a picture with her.
Roy's Cafe

The Rover's return.
And of course you have to pull a pint....

Three days in Manchester (Yes we saw Manchester Unit Stadium), then off to Amsterdam.  There we went to Ann Frank's house and saw where they hid, it's all original.  But no pictures inside allowed.  Then I saw Rembrandt's house, where he painted, and of course the Canals...

the 7 bridges together (a very hard shot to do from the water)

house sinking, it's crooked
Where Rembrandt taught his students for extra cash.
They copied his work so they could help him with background.
His first wife died in child birth.  This was his second woman who he did not marry, but had a child with.
His self-portrait, which he used as a calling card to get business.

From there we were on the ship, still three days in Amsterdam for some tours, then the other 5 going down the Rhyne, and the Moselle, mostly in Germany and all wine country.  The trip was called Castles and Wine and you'll see why....
Inside the Castle

Outside the Castles......, off the river

Break at the windery....
Break over the winery
Inside an old house in one town where the owner made music boxes (extremely large ones) and the tour guide gave us a concert

Houses and castles by the river Rhyne.

At night, on the river, is when they travelled to the next destination.  Every afternoon was an excursion out.
The staff was wonderful, always spoiling you.
One trip was in Calonne, to the curch.

This was where the 3 wise men's bones were kept.
200 years to complete.

our hotel.....  Enough pictures, as a matter of fact too many.  But that's where I've been and I've been back for a week, so back to work.  Hope you enjoyed these.
