Been gone for 13 days.  Drove from Vancouver to California, stayed in Anaheim, did plenty of walking, relaxing, baseball games, and so much more....  But before I start in any of this I have to mention right away a tragedy in Medford in Oregon. See more about it here at this link-    http://www.kdrv.com/content/video/488343601.html Those poor people who lost their homes.  The entire area and Ashland had tons of firefighters in the area, very busy trying to save homes, and many were, but with 101 lightning strikes, it's amazing how bad it was.  And we drove through it. You could see the smoked areas and how black it was.  Although we saw some areas already burnt from last year (still black and barren), we were not sure if we already saw this or not.  But in the end we realized that these were fresh and we found out later it happened 2 days before we were on the road.  They even closed the I5 for a day (the route we were taking). It smelled smoky even before we saw what

This month's OMG (one monthly goal) is already completed.  Thanks to stress of the end of the year as a teacher.  When I am stressed it is either eating, painting or sewing and sewing sure won this time.  The start of the project looked like this: And has now ended like this.... Another month has gone by and another number has been drawn for the 2018 UFO Challenge.  It's now #7.  And what quilt of mine is that one?  It's the triangles in old fashion material.  One that I purchased for my cousin Garrett and his family.  I don't have a picture of the finished product, just a roll of old fashion material (2 1/2 inch strips), and some white.  And a pattern.  So lets make this a little different, and I'll post when done..... I still have the Missourri Quilt Company quilt to complete (number 11) I decided to do this one : This one needs 1¾ yards dark solid fabric 1¾ yards light solid fabric BINDING:  ¾ yard BACKING:  3¼ yards - horizontal seam(s) This one is smaller.  But I am also trying to complete my #9 which is the table runner for a very good friend of mine, Anna.  So I'll try to do both this month as well as my UFO challenge and the #7 one.  Am I taking on too much???  You better believe it.  Here's an update of the c
