Crazy Sewing again

Image
Been a very busy week this week catching up on a lot of work, but mostly on sewing.  I needed to finish four quilts before I left for Manitoba.  Not all of us were really busy, some of us just took it easy because they missed me on my trip to Phoenix Arizona.  And just so you're wondering, no I did not go to every quilt shop I could find.  As I've been telling my friends, I have too much material as is.  BUTTTTTTTTTT  we did find a quilt shop one night that we went into and found a Row by Row (Oh my goodness, yes, I did...) and I bought it as a souvenir of our trip.  So you'll be seeing that one soon. Getting back to my work load:  I didn't finish my goal for the month (only had a week and a half to do that and I'm off again so that's it for sewing) which was my Sewology quilt.  But instead I completed the following: My friend finished the quilt that I was helping her with.  It's a wedding gift for her son.  She did all the 2 1/2 strips together,

OK, it's the Sew Along quilt for sure.....  It's been sitting on my flour for about five months.  It's a queen size quilt, with a backing of a blanket that my aunt gave me.  It's even bigger than that polar fleece blanket.    So where does that leave me?  Quilting, quilting and more quilting......  Here's what sit looks like now. That's one of the blocks.....  Wait until it's entirely done, because that's the goal, having the entire quilt completed.....  Wish me luck. Hooking up to One Monthly Goal (OMG) at Elm Street quilts.  Go check out all the entries, they're beautiful.

My list is below.  Lets review what I've gotten done (in green) and my plans are in red.  Lets review. 1. Use acrylic or paper templates to piece a block.   the Gracie SchoolHouse using an acrylic template for it's white pieces.  It's completed and it looks like this.  It's for my cousin Garett and his wife.   2. Donate a pillowcase to charity. (Add it to the online counter: AllPeopleQuilt.com/donate.)  Have done a couple of quilts for the hospital and one for a retirement.  It's a charity so I guess this one is done.... 3. Organize your fabrics and scraps.  Still working on this one. Desk is clean, all my projects are in containers for organization.  I've been printing out my patterns on the ipad, and organizing all the patterns. 4. Change your needle - I do this for every qui
